Inspection software for real estate inspectors

Home inspectors are very busy people.

Most are like a one man band trying to handle the responsibilities of managing a family and business. Home inspecting is a demanding business. It requires the understanding of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, HVAC, and more. They are expected to crawl under houses, climb into attics and up on roofs. Many  spend their evenings preparing reports instead of having family time. All of this while living with the fear of an unexpected lawsuit pounce on them if they make a mistake.

Our goal is to make the home inspectors live a little easier. Home inspection software should be the last thing on the home inspector's mind. We exist to give the home inspector more time with easy-to-use inspection software. We provide a home inspection method that is fun and does not require re-entering data at the end of the day. We free home inspectors from the fear of missing an issue, or making a foolish reporting mistake that could result in the needless pain of legal problems.

Bottom line, we exist so the home inspector can enjoy their job and the important things in life, like family and maybe some other quality-of-life things like fishing or a ball game once in a while.

Have you watched a juggling act and wondered how they keep all the balls in the air? I am not a home inspector, but when I think about their job, I wonder if they ever feel like a juggler. I am amazed at the about of codes and regulations they must learn, in so many different disciplines ie. hvac, electrical, masonry, plumbing etc. Now ad that to the fact that most of them are trying to promote their business, handle their own paperwork, and work in some real difficult places. I also guess they might lay awake at night sometimes wondering if they forgot to check something at their last inspection. I guess we never think about the time they spend working on reports in the evenings when the would rather be with the wife and kids. I applaud their work and ability to keep all the balls in the air. I hope I can support them and help them because I appreciate their task.

Do houses talk? I don’t know because I don’t speak their language. However, if any one does, I would think it might be that small group of men and women that have dedicated their lives to the study of houses. Can a house remember when the room received the first born baby girl? Can it tell you about the Christmas tree that looked better than all the others? Does it remember when all the relatives came for Thanksgiving and the sewer backed up? Like the stories of an old man or woman, does an old house have a treasure chest of tales just waiting to be told? I think so. It must be, because a house is more than a structure, it is part of our lives. Imagine going to Grandma’s without thinking of her house. I would love to hear the stories but I can’t. I will just have to ask a home inspector, if they would tell me what they heard.
